ANA AVATAR XPRIZE CHALLENGE

Our team consists of members from IISc, TCS and Hanson Robotics. The IISc team has broad expertise in AI-ML, Communications, Video and Audio Processing, Sensor and Actuator development, Human-machine interfaces & Robotics-Control. The TCS team has deep expertise in Systems Engineering for Robotics, including Hardware, Firmware and Software. Hanson Robotics has deep expertise in Humanoid facial forms – both hardware and software.

The $10M ANA Avatar XPRIZE is a four-year global competition focused on the development of an Avatar System that will transport a human’s sense, actions, and presence to a remote location in real time, leading to a more connected world. The winning team will integrate multiple emerging technologies to develop a physical, non- autonomous Avatar System with which an operator can see, hear, and interact within a remote environment in a manner that feels as if they are truly there. ANA Avatar XPRIZE challenges you to create and demonstrate Robotic Avatar Systems that will enable humans to see, hear, and interact within remote environments in a manner that feels as if they are truly there. Your innovative work during this competition will make great leaps toward bringing Avatars to life!
