We have a Project Assistant/Associate opening in the project titled “Modeling and Vulnerability Assessment of Power Grids” sponsored by the Powergrid Center of Excellence at IISc Bangalore. The candidate will work on a cyber-physical modeling of a powergrid substation. Further, different vulnerability analysis techniques and algorithms like attack graph, probabilistic techniques, petri-nets etc. will be used to compute the vulnerability of the systems. The candidate will work closely with the PGCIL staff during the project.
Desired Qualifications and Skills:
Bachelor’s degree in CS, ECE, EE or related branches.
Good programming skills in PythonCMatlab
Experience with developing UI interfaces including graph visualization
Strong debugging and mathematical modeling skills
Preferred:
Prior experience with security related applications
Good background on graphs and probability
Experience with database handling
Familiarity with power grid architecture, operations, and protocols
Salary: As per the government norms and the level of experience (See here)
Duration: 1 year (on-site at IISc Bangalore)
