Project Staff

Aditya earned his B.Tech degree in Electronics and Communication Engineering from Amrita School of Engineering, Bangalore. He earned his M.S. (Research) degree in Engineering Design (specialization in Robotics) from the Indian Institute of Technology Madras.

His current interests are in the domain of embedded systems and robot control. At RBCCPS he is working on the development of legged robots.

Akhil has received his B.Tech in Computer Science and Engineering from Faculty of Engineering, CHRIST (Deemed to be University) in the year 2018. Prior to RBCCPS, he worked as an Associate Software Engineer at Centre for Digital Innovation, CHRIST. He had worked on Design implementation of custom resource server for IoT applications.Currently at RBCCPS, he is involved in extending various capabilities of Catalogue services in Indian Urban Data Exchange (IUDX) project.

His interests lies in Cyber and Network Security, IoT device Security.

Alok received his Bachelor degree in Mechanical Engineering from Dehradun Institute of Technology and his Master degree in Product Design and Manufacturing from IISc Bangalore.

His interests are sketching, product design and development, and form modelling.

Aruul obtained his B. Tech in Electronics and Communication Engineering from Amrita Vishwa Vidyapeetham, Coimbatore. Before joining RBCCPS, he worked as a Technical Solutions Engineer at Arista Networks, Inc.

His interests include Machine Learning, Computer Vision and Control Engineering.

Kartik Paigwar completed his Bachelor’s study in Computer Science and Engineering at Visvesvaraya National Institute of Technology, Nagpur in May 2019. He has been a core-coordinator of Ivlabs, Robotics and AI research lab of his institute where he was actively involved in several robotics projects and collaborated in a few research publications. His research interest mainly focuses on tightly integrating perception, machine learning and planning to build intelligent autonomous robots. He is currently working in Walking robot team working on stair climbing dexterity for a quadruped robot.

Mukunth obtained his M.Tech. in Digital Electronics and Communication from NMAM Institute of Technology, Nitte and his B.E. from Nitte Meenakshi Institute of Technology, Bangalore. A passion towards teaching drove him to take up teaching soon after his M.Tech. and he worked as a lecturer in an engineering college. With an interest to pursue research, he joined the Centre in August 2017.

His areas of interest are embedded systems and signal processing.

Prashant Kumar completed his Masters in Computer Science from the Indian Institute of Technology, Guwahati. He worked in the industry in the FinTech Domain at Envestnet | Yodlee for 20 months as part of the Core Engineering Solutions Team where he worked in the CI/CD pipeline and Docker Migration for apps.

As part of the Machine Learning Domain, he has some research experience in the Unsupervised Learning Domain and has good hands on experience on Deep Learning Architectures specifically. He is working under Prof Chiranjib Bhattacharyya under specific problems for Autonomous Driving and Navigation using Autonomous Ground and Aerial Vehicles..

Poorna Chandra received his B.Tech. in Computer Science and Engineering from Faculty of Engineering, Christ University.

He is currently working on the technical specifications and the reference implementation of the Indian Urban Data Exchange (IUDX) project. His research interests are in smart city systems, application security and cryptography.

Rakshit obtained his B.E. degree from M.S. Ramaiah Institute of Technology, Bangalore in Electronics and Communication Engineering in 2016.

His current research interests are in developing frameworks for Smart City middleware, low power WAN’s and radar signal processing.

Rohina Naaz received her B.E Degree in Electrical & Electronics Engineering from Biju Patnaik University of Technology (BPUT), Odishain 2005. From 2007 to 2009, she was with CenturyLink (formerly Qwest), working as Software Engineer-Application in Java and J2EE technologies. Before joining RBCCPS, she was working with SoftwareAG as consultant R&D in UI development using Angular, HTML,CSS, Bootstrap & Javascript.

She is currently working on the the UI development for the catalogue part in IUDX. Her area of interest include Web design and development and Machine learning and Artificial intelligence.

Rokesh received his B.E. in Mechanical Engineering from L.E. College, Morbi, Gujarat and his M.Tech. in Computer Aided Engineering (CAE) from the Visvesvaraya Technological University Post-Graduate Center, Bangalore

His area of interest is light weight fiber-reinforced plastic composite design.

Sabyasachi Sahoo is currently working as Project Associate under Dr. Chiranjib Bhattacharyya on Ati Motors Project, where he is primarily working on lidar based SLAM. Prior to this, he worked on AI solutions in e-commerce in a machine learning startup for about a year and has worked on embedded system and display drivers at Nvidia for about two years. He received his B.Tech in Mechanical Engineering from NIT – Surat and M.Tech in Computational Science from CDS department at IISc.

Sadgun obtained his master’s degree in electrical and computer engineering from the University of Illinois at Chicago, and his bachelor’s degree in electronics and communication engineering from the Visvesvaraya Technological University. Prior to joining RBCCPS he has worked at TouchlessID and Samsung Research and Development Institute, Bangalore.

He is currently working on developing vision algorithms for autonomous drones, and is also part of the research for the smart city project.His research interests include 3D reconstruction, SLAM, augmented and mixed reality. He has a passion for motorcycles and is always on the lookout for some adrenaline rush.

Vasanth received a Bachelors degree in Computer Science and Engineering from Anna University, Chennai and a Master’s degree in Computer Science from Aalto University, Finland majoring in Mobile Computing (Services and Security). His thesis was based on optimization of LTE UE gateway for uplink video transmission.

He worked with Nomadic Labs, Ericsson Research, and Data Communications Software Laboratory, Aalto University for three years on projects focusing on energy efficiency of LTE for IoT.

His interests are software product development on Android, Java and Java based platforms.
