Recommendations for CVR and IoE Post-doc Fellowships
Recommendation for CV Raman (CVR) Post-doc Fellowship:
Please check the eligibility criteria on https://www.iisc.ac.in/post-docs/ and verify that the candidates recommended satisfy all criteria, including the preferred age limit of 32 years.
For the recommended applications, pl enclose the following (in addition to the online application):
(i) CV of the candidate
(ii) Research plan
(ii) Recommendation from the centre, stating clearly: the reasons why the candidate is suitable for the CVR post-doc (and not for a faculty position), summary of interaction of the internal committee with the candidate (through an online/in-person seminar or otherwise), and name of the identified mentor, and
(iii) At least two external recommendation letters

Recommendation for IoE Post-doc Fellowship:
Pl enclose the following:
a. Filled up template for all applications considered in the quarter (you may please use the same excel file for both CVR and IoE Post-doc recommendations, but create a separate sheet for each)
For the recommended applications:
b. CV of the candidate, along with a cover letter (email) from the candidate
c. Research plan
d. Recommendation of the Centre (may be included in the template itself), identifying a mentor, and
e. At least one external recommendation letter.

Recommendation for Extension of the CVR and IoE Post-doc Fellowship
A committee comprising of the mentor(s) and two faculty members from any Centre/Department in the Institute (including the host Centre) should evaluate the candidate’s progress during the year through an online/in-person seminar.
The evaluation report of the committee should contain the names of the committee members, date of evaluation, details of the work done by the candidate during the year, list of publications during the year from the work carried out after availing the Fellowship and a strong justification for extension of the Fellowship. Difficulties faced by the candidate may also be listed in the report. The report should be forwarded by the Chairperson of the Centre along with soft copies of the reprints of the publications, at least one month prior to the expiry of the Fellowship.
