PhD Forum, CyPhySS- 2021

Call for Papers

The fourth edition of  Cyber Physical Systems Symposium (CyPhySS), organized by Robert Bosch Center for Cyber Physical Systems at IISc, will be held on July 23 2021, online. The past three editions of CyPhySS has had high quality invited talks by eminent researchers from around the world. This edition also will feature some eminent invited speakers from academia and industrial research labs.  This edition will also be co-located with Robotics and AI Symposium (RAIS) that will be organized by AI & Robotics Technology Park (ARTPARK) and will feature leading industries and startups in various exciting talks and panel sessions. In addition, we would like to showcase top PhD work via the newly introduced session of PhD Forum. The forum will provide a unique opportunity for PhD scholars to present their research accomplishments, have valuable peer-to-peer discussions and also receive feedback from leading senior researchers from academia and industry about their work.

We invite submissions from current and just graduated (in the academic year 2020-21) PhD scholars based on their doctoral work. The first author of the submission should be a full-time PhD student or should have completed his / her PhD no earlier than 2020.

The topics should be broadly related to cyber-physical systems, robotics, AI and autonomous systems and can cover problems in (but not limited to): Formal techniques, Deep Learning, AI & ML Algorithms,  Controls, Embedded Systems, Edge Analytics, autonomous vehicles (air, land and water), sensing and perception based on Vision, Speech and Language, actuation systems, Specialized AI hardware, Human-Robot Interactions, Collaborative Robotics, Planning & Learning, Simulation Frameworks for Robotics, Soft robotics.

PhD scholars of accepted submissions will get an opportunity to make an oral presentation of their work at the online Summit. CyPhySS 2021 will not be publishing  any proceedings. However, the abstracts will be published in the CyPhySS 2021 program booklet. The best two submissions to the forum will be awarded a prize of INR 50,000 each, along with a certificate.
