Basic Qualifications for Eligibility
Program Duration: 2 years
The students are required to complete 64 credits. In first two semesters, students focus on core courses on foundational topics in Mathematics, Control, Optimization, AI and ML, and Perception. They also take one lab course in each semester. Students select their project advisor after the first semester. During summer, students can undertake internship with consent of Advisor. The summer internship is optional. They also start their project work. In third semester students complete their coursework requirement by taking elective courses on specialized topics based on their interests. They continue to work on their project. The MTech program in Robotics and Autonomous Systems (RAS) requires candidates to possess a valid GATE score in one of the following papers: Electrical Engineering (EE), Electronics and Communication Engineering (EC), Mechanical Engineering (ME), Aerospace Engineering (AE), Instrumentation Engineering (IN), or Computer Science and Information Technology (CS). The selection process for admission into the program is based on a combination of the GATE score and a subsequent interview. The GATE score carries a weightage of 70% in the evaluation, while the interview contributes 30% towards the final assessment.
